In fact, current 5-megapixel or higher resolution camera is for taking photos in low light high resolution, require high brightness flash. CAT3224 is the industrial first 4 A single-chip super capacitor LED driver (see Figure 1), integrated dual-mode 1x/2x charge pump, provides three key features: precision super capacitor charge control, discharge current to the LED flash management , as well as to provide constant current for LED flashlight mode. These three modes of current work can use three external resistors as easy programming, can absorb up to 4 A of the LED flash pulse. Super-capacitor peak current technology strengths, is combined with the CAT3224 simple parallel logic interface, to make this device become an excellent application choice of using LED instead of alternative to xenon lamps.
