ON Semiconductor (ON Semiconductor) expanded product line, match up the next-generation power system design. NCP4303A and NCP4303B is full-featured synchronous rectification controller and driver integrated circuits (IC), for ATX power supplies, flat panel TV, high-power AC - DC (AC-DC) adapter,LED driver,  and gaming applications in switching power supply (SMPS) . Their unique features is that the power supply secondary-side rectifier provides efficient and flexible solution.

The new IC can support a maximum operating frequency 500 kHz, provide high current gate drive and high-speed logic circuits , for supporting appropriate timing sequence driver signals to the synchronous rectifier MOSFET. Typical value 40 ns very short delay time off, combined with drive large drain current (sink current) capabilities and automatic package parasitic inductance compensation system , which allows conduction time of synchronous rectifier MOSFET is extended to be longest ,enhance to improve power supply efficiency.

Externally adjustable minimum on and off time (depending on the Vcc level) help solve the printed circuit board (PCB) layout and ringing problems caused by other parasitic components of the LED driver, which provide reliable and noise-free work. NCP4303 also has the  trigger input ,which can be used as the primary interface of interface connection to connect the power side, can be used for constant current applications.

NCP4303 offers two different gate drive clamp, match up with the different MOSFET characteristics in the market. NCP4303A gate drive clamp voltage is12 V, and NCP4303B gate drive clamp voltage is 6 V. These versatile devices can be used for different power supply topologies, such as flyback, forward and inductive half-bridge resonant double and single capacitor (LLC).
