Today Intersil company announced the ISL95835 and ISL95837 controller, to further expand its industry-leading multiphase DC/DC controller series products. The two series of controller provide the complete low cost solutions which used for the CPU and GPU core power supply , at the same time,they provide the first-class transient response and efficiency. The two kinds of products are in line with Intel's IMVP-7 / VR12 standard, this standard involve that through intelligence voltage regulation to reduce the second generation i5 / i7 Intel core processor power dissipation. ISL95835 and ISL95837 are all the smallest solutions in industry, and provide comprehensive functions and less pin count, thereby saving valuable board space and reduce the materials used. And ISL95837 make a particular optimization direct at low power consumption and light applications.
Characteristics and Specifications ISL95835 including two built-in MOSFET drive, used for providing a 3 + 1 solutions, and can be configured for 3, 2 or 1 phase VR. ISL95837 can be regarded as dedicated to 1 + 1 application ISL95835, with a 1 phase VR output, and then improve flexibility at the maximum limit. When the CPU go into the light load mode, the two products can be worked in diode (dormancy) pattern, and then improve efficiency and extended battery life. Accept 4.5 V-25 V input voltage, and provide 0.25 V to 1.5 V output voltages. |
